Video: Three vessels stopped in Strait of Hormuz as IRGC claims full control, warns ships not to follow US orders

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has said it intercepted and halted three vessels in the Strait of Hormuz just hours ago after accusing them of ignoring Iranian warnings and navigating an “unsafe and illegal route.”
The IRGC released statements and footage alleging the ships violated Iran’s declared traffic channels and refused repeated instructions to change course.
The IRGC said its forces boarded and inspected the three vessels before ordering them to comply with Iran’s maritime rules.
Tehran’s statement framed the action as lawful enforcement of its navigation rules and reiterated a broader claim that Iran now “completely controls” the Strait of Hormuz.
The announcement included an explicit warning to commercial and military ships not to follow orders from what the IRGC described as “child-killing America,” a reference to Washington amid escalating tensions.
The incident comes amid heightened exchanges across the region.
Iran has recently claimed responsibility for missile strikes it said targeted a U.S. air base and U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) facilities in Jordan, describing those actions as retaliation for American operations.
U.S. military and regional officials have in turn reported strikes and seizures linked to rival proxies and U.S.-led responses, producing a cycle of tit-for-tat operations that officials warn could further destabilize Gulf shipping lanes.
