In a video that circulated on social media on Monday, the artist from Benue expressed his profound concern over the escalating violence in his home state, which has resulted in nearly 100 deaths and many injuries in recent weeks.

Clearly troubled, Tuface lamented the ongoing cycle of attacks and underscored the urgent need for effective intervention to halt the killings and establish lasting peace in the affected communities.

“My heart is heavy. I am terribly sad and terribly angry. What is going on in my state, Benue State, has become a national emergency. I can’t wrap my head around it.

“I don’t know what to say at this point in time. It is going to be business as usual, you condemn it. This has to stop. It has to involve everybody.

“This is not child’s play. It is becoming ridiculous. It is annoying. I don’t know where to start expressing my sadness, anger, grief, or frustration. Every time we call on governors and presidents. This is not funny anymore.

“It has gone beyond condemning. Serious action needs to start to take place; every stakeholder needs to come together and fight this. There is a solution. Let us be serious with it,” said Tuface.
