Video: US launches precision strikes on Iran sites after missile attack

United States Central Command has carried out a “heavy wave of strikes” inside Iran, targeting dozens of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) sites after what CENTCOM described as an attempted Iranian ballistic missile attack on U.S. forces on July 28.
CENTCOM in a statement on Thursday claimed the strikes hit military command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and defense positions, and maritime capabilities.
The statement stressed that the action was intended to “further diminish threats posed by Iran and its proxies to American forces, commercial shipping, and neighboring Gulf countries.”
“Central Command (CENTCOM) forces successfully completed a heavy wave of strikes against Iran in response to yesterday’s attempted missile attacks on U.S. forces.
“CENTCOM assets struck dozens of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran, including military command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and defense sites, and maritime capabilities,” the statement read.
CENTCOM reiterated that all Iranian missiles from the prior day’s attempted surprise strike were intercepted and that no U.S. casualties were reported.
The command noted that more than 50,000 U.S. service members remain deployed in the Middle East and “highly vigilant, focused, lethal, and ready.”
U.S. military officials framed the strikes as part of ongoing operations this month intended to reduce imminent threats to American troops, Gulf allies and commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz amid a broader regional confrontation involving Iranian-aligned proxy groups.
