Wizkid celebrates mother on posthumous birthday

Nigerian Afrobeat star, Ibrahim Balogun professionally known as Wizkid, has written a tribute to his mother, Jane Dolapo, on her 67 posthumous birthday.

Wizkid’s mother died in London on 18 August 2023.

In Wizkid’s tribute posted on his X (formally Twitter) on Thursday, he said, nothing makes sense to him without his mother and life has been empty for him since the death of her mother.

The post read, “Happy birthday love of my life! Miss you everyday. First one without you here feels unreal. Nothing makes sense without you mama! Life is empty without you.

“Continue to watch over us! My heart is broken forever! One love you love love you MORAYO mi. Your smile is all a memory I will never forget. Your laugh! Your hugs and kisses. I miss you dearly!”
