Yahaya Bello picks up APC senatorial forms for Kogi Central

Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has taken a major step toward a Senate bid by receiving the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial nomination forms for the Kogi Central Senatorial District.

Bello collected the forms at his residence in Abuja on Friday, signalling his intent to contest the 2027 general elections under the APC banner.

The move comes amid growing anticipation for the party’s primaries.

This development positions Bello for a potentially fierce political showdown in Kogi Central, where he aims to leverage his influence and return to elected office.

Party stakeholders have hailed the step as a boost for APC’s prospects in the zone, though rivals are already gearing up.

APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka confirmed the receipt, urging aspirants to prioritise unity.
