Brazil will have Neymar Jr. available for their upcoming friendly against Scotland after the forward was officially called up following the Selecao’s victory over Haiti, coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed Saturday.
“Neymar will train individually tomorrow, then Sunday back training with the team and then called up against Scotland,” Ancelotti confirmed after the win, adding that the forward’s return to full training is on schedule.
The coach said the individual session on Saturday is precautionary and designed to manage workload ahead of the fixture.
Ancelotti stressed the decision was driven by fitness management rather than a new injury, and indicated Neymar will be monitored in the build-up to the Scotland match.
Neymar’s recall continues a long international career that includes appearances at the 2014, 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups.
