Victor Boniface has reflected on what he described as a “crazy season” thanking fans, club staff and teammates.

The Nigerian forward — loaned from Bayer Leverkusen to Werder Bremen for the season — was hampered by knee problems that required surgery in January, restricting him to 11 appearances with no goals and two assists.

Victor Boniface wrote on X, “Wow. Crazy season for me. A lot had happened. Just want to say thank you very much to fans and staff and players.”

Supporters responded to Boniface’s message with an outpouring of encouragement, many expressing belief in his recovery and wishing him a stronger 2026/27 season.

Club sources say the forward is focused on rehabilitation and aims to return fully fit ahead of next season.
