The Chairman of the Corporate Affairs Managers Committee of the Nigerian Insurers Association (CAMCONIA), Bankole Banjo, has urged members of the National Association of Insurance and Pension Editors (NAIPE) to uphold professionalism and mutual respect in their collaboration with insurance and pension organisations.
Banjo made the call in a goodwill message to NAIPE at its Annual National Conference.

He acknowledged that many journalists have direct access to the leadership of various organisations but cautioned against taking such access for granted or overlooking the roles of other individuals involved in decision-making.

“We are fully aware many of you have direct access to the leadership of our various organisations. This is a good and commendable sign of long term friendship and Camaraderie. However, remember that for every access, there are gatekeepers; and for every decision maker, there are others in the decision making unit whose importance in the scheme of things should not be overlooked and ignored,” he said.
He expressed hope that the partnership between CAMCONIA and NAIPE would continue to be guided by professionalism and mutual respect.

Banjo, on behalf of his executives and all heads of corporate affairs, brand and communications of member companies of the Nigerian Insurers Association, congratulated NAIPE’s leadership and members on the successful hosting of the conference.

He described NAIPE as a dependable and strategic ally in the development of the insurance and pension industries, noting that its commitment to factual, balanced and developmental reporting had continued to deepen insurance penetration, strengthen pension awareness and build public confidence.

He also commended the association for its choice of the conference theme, “Post-Recapitalisation and Market Dynamics in Insurance & Pension Sectors,” describing it as strategic and forward-looking.

According to him, the focus of discussions in the post-recapitalisation era should shift to the implications of the new capital strength for market capacity, product innovation, consumer protection, operational resilience and sustainable growth.
He said the conference provided the right platform to shape the narrative and set the agenda for the next phase of development in the insurance and pension industries.

Banjo expressed confidence that insights from the gathering would enrich public understanding and reinforce the role of insurance and pensions as critical pillars of Nigeria’s financial system.

He reaffirmed CAMCONIA’s commitment to deeper collaboration, mutual respect, open engagement and professionalism, adding that both organisations would continue working together to improve the reporting of the Nigerian insurance and pension industries.

He wished NAIPE fruitful deliberations and a successful conference.
