The Football Association (FA) has imposed the maximum four-year ban on Chelsea winger Mykhaylo Mudryk following an anti-doping violation involving the banned substance meldonium.

Mudryk, the 25-year-old Ukrainian international, tested positive in late 2024, leading to a provisional suspension in December of that year.

He was formally charged in June 2025, and the full ban was confirmed this week.

The penalty sidelines him until at least late 2028, marking the harshest sanction available under FA rules.

The player maintains the ingestion was unintentional and has pointed to potential involvement from Ukraine national team medical staff.

Mudryk has already missed over 16 months of football amid the ongoing process.

He has lodged an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), where the decision remains pending.
