Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike has revealed that President Bola Tinubu has directed the immediate issuance of land allocation forms to 70 ambassadors-designate before they depart for their overseas postings.
“Mr President directed that before you (ambassadors-designate) leave this morning, each and every one of you should have your form to fill for land allocation in Abuja, so that when you come back, you don’t need to be staying in a hotel,” Wike stated during a press engagement with the diplomats.
The initiative ensures Nigeria’s envoys secure personal property in the capital, providing a base for future briefings and visits while eliminating the need for hotel accommodations.
This will foster stronger ties between foreign missions and the FCT administration, while promoting long-term investment and enhanced infrastructure support for the country’s diplomatic corps.
