Cornerstone Insurance records 34% revenue growth in 2025, recommends 28 Kobo dividend

Cornerstone Insurance Plc has reported a strong financial performance for the 2025 financial year, posting a 34 per cent growth in insurance revenue to N51.66 billion and recommending a dividend of 28 kobo per ordinary share to its shareholders.
Speaking at the company’s 34th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Lagos on Monday, the Acting Chairman, Mr. Afolabi Balogun, attributed the impressive results to the company’s resilient business model, customer-centric approach, and disciplined execution of its strategic priorities.
According to him, the insurer’s profit after tax climbed to N11.76 billion during the year under review, while earnings per share stood at 64 kobo.
Balogun stated, “Cornerstone delivered another year of strong performance. The Group recorded insurance revenue of N51.66 billion, representing a 34 per cent increase over the prior year. Profit after tax increased to N11.76 billion, while earnings per share stood at 64 kobo per share.”
He added that the Board’s recommendation of a 28 kobo dividend per share reflected its confidence in the company’s future prospects and commitment to rewarding shareholders for their continued support.
“In recognition of this performance and our confidence in the future, the Board has recommended a dividend of N0.28 per share,” he said.
The Acting Chairman noted that the company’s performance underscores the strength of its brand, the loyalty of its customers, and management’s commitment to sustainable growth.
“These results reflect the strength of our franchise, the quality of our customer relationships, and the disciplined execution of our strategy,” Balogun said.
He explained that Cornerstone remains focused on deepening market penetration, enhancing operational efficiency, and leveraging innovation to sustain growth in an increasingly competitive insurance landscape.
Also speaking, the Group Managing Director, Mr. Stephen Alangbo, noted that Cornerstone Insurance Plc delivered strong financial results in 2025.
He said, “Our balance sheet remained strong with total assets increasing by 16 per cent to N141.03bn, while shareholders equity grew to N72.86bn from N60.50bn. This reinforces our readiness for the revolving regulatory environment.”
