Edo Decides: APC, PDP candidates win polling units

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Monday Okpebholo and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Asue Ighodalo emerged winners in their respective polling units in the ongoing Edo governorship election.
Okpebholo, in his polling unit, secured a resounding victory, garnering 102 votes at PU 003, Uwessan 1, Esan Central Local Government Area, while PDP and LP each managed just one vote from the same polling unit.
Also, the PDP candidate in his polling unit won 200 votes to defeat Okpebholo, who scored 45 votes.
Dailyeconomy had earlier reported that the Labour Party candidate in the Edo state governorship election, Olumide Akpata, lost his polling unit to Asue Ighodalo of the PDP.
Ighodalo polled 41 votes to defeat the LP candidate who gathered 32 votes at polling unit 11, Ward 06, Oredo Local Government Area in Benin, and the candidate of the APC, Monday Okpebholo, scored 19 votes.
