FAAN inaugurates 2027 IGR Budget Committee to boost revenue diversification

The Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Olubunmi Kuku, has inaugurated the Authority’s 2027 Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) Budget Committee, marking a renewed push toward revenue diversification and improved operational performance.
Speaking on the initiative, Kuku said the move builds on gains recorded in 2026 and aims to make FAAN more self-sustaining.
“Today, the MD/CE of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, inaugurated the 2027 IGR Budget Committee. Building on our 2026, we are now accelerating towards revenue diversification and operational excellence. 4 sub-committees. 1 mission: A stronger, self-sustaining FAAN,” she wrote on X.
The new committee will operate through four dedicated sub-committees tasked with identifying and implementing revenue-generating projects, tightening financial controls, and streamlining airport operations to reduce costs and improve service delivery.
