More than 40 ambassador-designates have begun a comprehensive induction programme in Abuja, gearing up for their postings to diplomatic missions worldwide.

Organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the exercise aims to equip the envoys with essential skills for their roles.

President Bola Tinubu charged the diplomats to serve as the “face of Nigeria abroad,” urging them to prioritise economic diplomacy, attract foreign investment, and protect Nigerians’ interests in host countries.

The programme covers practical tools in trade promotion, security engagement, and consular services, aligning with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

It is scheduled to wrap up on Friday.
