The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has held a strategic meeting with domestic airlines on Monday to ensure smooth operations for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.
Presided over by NCAA Director-General Capt. Chris Najomo at the agency’s Corporate Headquarters in Abuja, the session reviewed preparations and focused on enhancing efficiency, coordination, and passenger experience.
According to statement obtained from NCAA on Monday, discussions also covered increased participation from Saudi carriers to support Nigerian airlines’ capacity, alongside slot allocation and logistics.
A key resolution emphasised that “slot approvals are strictly granted on a first-come, first-served basis—underscoring the importance of early planning and coordination by all participating airlines.”
Representatives from Air Peace, Umza Aviation, Max Air, and others attended, signaling proactive steps ahead of the pilgrimage season.
