FG receives first batch of farming equipment from Belarus

The Federal Government has received its first batch of the 2,000 tractors and 9,027 other farming equipment from Belarus.
This initiative, which is aimed at supporting local farmers and enhancing the capacity and acceleration of food production in the country, was detailed in a contract agreement in September 2024, Dailyeconomy reports.
The acquisition of these equipment, is aimed at causing a change in food production and economic growth in the nation.
This was disclosed via a video shared on the X (formally Twitter) account of the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun on Tuesday.
He wrote, “Nigeria has received the first batch of the 2,000 tractors and 9,027 other farming equipment to be procured in 2025 as President Tinubu’s administration seeks to accelerate food production in the country.”
