Controversial Nigerian musician, Portable born Habeeb Badmus, has vowed to change his ways after his recent  release on bail.

The singer was granted bail in the sum of N2 million by a Magistrate Court in Isabo, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Thursday, Dailyeconomy reports.

This followed his not guilty plea to five charges, which included conspiracy, assault, unlawful possession of weapons, and unruly conduct.

Portable was brought before the court by the Ogun State police, accused of assaulting three officials from the Ogun Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA).

After his release, the singer took to social media to reassure his fans, stating that he was putting his past troubles behind him and shifting his focus to making money.

His new position was made known via a video he shared on his Instagram handle on Friday.

Speaking in Yoruba, but now translated to English, the artist said, “My fans, thank God for everything. If you have God, you have everything. I need money. I am not looking for trouble anymore. I’m now focused on making money. I have N2 million bail debt. I need more money. I am looking for money.”
