Oyo State Police have arrested two suspects in a major crackdown on motorcycle theft, recovering three stolen bikes after intelligence-led operations.

In a statement on Thursday by DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, Oyo Police Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Adebisi, 24, was nabbed at his residence for stealing motorcycles from parked spots.

During interrogation, he confessed, “I steal motorcycles from Ilesa in Osun State and transport them to the Ojoo area of Ibadan for sale.”

Police then arrested receiver Hussein Haruna, 23, in Ojoo.

He too confessed to handling stolen bikes. Raids yielded two unregistered Boxer motorcycles and one TVS Neo NX ladies’ model.

CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga praised the team, noting efforts continue to hunt syndicate members and recover more bikes.

“The Command reiterates its unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property,” the statement said.
