Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has challenged the United States, effectively telling President Donald Trump and American forces to “fight like a man” by confronting Iran’s military instead of targeting civilians.
Speaking in a gathering, Pezeshkian said, “If Americans are warriors, let them face our valiant military forces.”
He criticized strikes on non-military targets, asking, “Why wage war on civilian infrastructure, food supplies, and livelihoods? If they’re human, why deny people access to water, food, and medicine?”
Pezeshkian added, “Our people can’t be bullied into submission. Iran won’t surrender.”
The remarks come as tensions persist between Tehran and Washington following earlier U.S.-Israeli military actions and ongoing economic pressure.
Pezeshkian has framed Iran’s position as defensive, insisting the country opposes war but will resist until any aggressors “are completely regretful.”
His message reframes the conflict as a call for direct military engagement rather than what he portrays as attacks on ordinary Iranians’ daily lives.
