Former United States President, Joe Biden on Monday thanked Americans for their outpouring of “love and support” following news of his prostate cancer diagnosis.
The 82-year-old former U.S. president revealed over the weekend that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer, which has reportedly spread to his bones.
The announcement triggered a wave of sympathy and well-wishes from across the country, including messages from President Donald Trump, Vice President Kamala Harris, and countless citizens.
According to a statement from his office, Biden was diagnosed with the condition on Friday after experiencing urinary symptoms, which led to the discovery of a prostate nodule.
Expressing gratitude via a post on his X [formally Twitter] handle, Biden wrote, “Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.”
