Kogi stakeholders promise Tinubu 2027 support during Renewed Hope project tour

The Kogi State Government officials and political stakeholders have given President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) strong assurances of overwhelming support in the 2027 general elections, citing ongoing federal and state infrastructure projects as evidence of the administration’s commitment to development.

The assurance was made during the third day of a media tour by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and the Presidential Media Team, which inspected various projects across the state.

According to a State House press release shared by Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, stakeholders highlighted the positive impact of President Tinubu’s reform programmes.

State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, speaking at Gbede in Yagba West Local Government Area, said, “The people of Kogi are happy with several ongoing federal projects in the state and also want more. Therefore, come January 2027, they will show their appreciation at the polls by voting for President Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels.”

Fanwo added that voting for the President would reciprocate the “laudable reform programmes” that have freed resources for sub-nationals to execute projects.

Dare, who led the delegation, praised the developmental strides in the state, noting their alignment with the President’s Eight-Point Agenda and Renewed Hope Agenda.

“We have just driven through a 15 Kilometre internal road network in this town. When you look at the five legacy roads across this nation and the over 300 roads across the length and breadth of this country, these are very critical infrastructural developments,” Dare said.

He specifically commended the reconstruction of the long-abandoned Kabba-Egbe-Omuaran-Ilorin Road and highlighted progress in health, education, and other sectors, including over 1,000 reinvigorated Primary Health Centres nationwide.

Projects inspected by the team included a 15km asphalted internal road network with drainage, a new Primary Health Centre in Gbede, rural roads in Okene, the ongoing International Market in Lokoja (50% complete on 16 hectares), and the Federal Teaching Hospital in Lokoja.
