Manchester United have reached out to Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola as part of their ongoing search for a new head coach, according to a report from The Times.

Dailyeconomy gathered that United board remains highly impressed with interim boss Michael Carrick’s recent performances, positioning him as the frontrunner for the permanent role.

Carrick has steadied the ship during a turbulent period, earning strong internal support.

No final decision has been made yet.

Club officials aim to appoint a new manager by the end of the season, allowing time to plan for next campaign’s squad and tactics.

Iraola, who has transformed Bournemouth into a resilient Premier League side, has also been approached by Chelsea.

However, the Blues are still in the very early stages of their own managerial process.
