The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has alerted members of the public to a fraudulent recruitment advertisement currently being circulated across various online platforms by unknown individuals.
In a disclaimer issued by the Commission, NAICOM described the advert as false, misleading, and not in any way connected to the Commission.
According to NAICOM, it has not authorised any recruitment exercise through the said platform or any unofficial channels, urging the public to disregard the information in its entirety.
The Commission advised Nigerians to avoid submitting personal information or making any payments in response to the fake advertisement, warning that such actions could expose individuals to fraud and identity theft.
NAICOM further urged the public to rely strictly on official communication channels, including its verified website and other recognised government platforms, for authentic updates on recruitment and other activities.
It reiterated that legitimate employment opportunities will always be announced through approved and reputable channels.
The Commission also warned that individuals or groups behind the dissemination of the fraudulent recruitment notice are engaging in illegal activities and may face legal consequences if identified.
Members of the public were encouraged to remain vigilant and report suspicious recruitment claims to relevant authorities.
