NCS clarifies recruitment cancellation rumour

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has dismissed as false a viral social media message claiming the cancellation of its ongoing recruitment exercise.
In an official statement, the NCS clarified, “The attention of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has been drawn to a misleading message currently circulating on social media alleging the cancellation of an ongoing recruitment exercise.
“The Service wishes to categorically state that the information is false and did not originate from the Nigeria Customs Service. There has been no official announcement regarding the cancellation of any recruitment process.”
The agency urged the public to ignore the hoax and avoid spreading unverified claims.
“Members of the public are strongly advised to disregard the message and refrain from sharing unverified information,” the statement added.
NCS reaffirmed its dedication to openness, advising stakeholders to check only its verified channels for updates.
“The NCS reiterates its commitment to transparency and urges stakeholders to rely solely on information disseminated through its official communication channels,” it added.
