The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), the nation’s top tax authority, has announced extended Saturday operations across its Emerging, Medium, Large, and Government Business Offices from May 8 to June 27, 2026, to ease taxpayers into the new Rev360 Phase I Tax Administration System.
In a statement signed Thursday by Executive Chairman Dr Zacch Adedeji, NRS said, “The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) hereby informs the general public, particularly taxpayers, that all Emerging, Medium, Large, and Government Business Offices nationwide will be open on Saturdays from May 8, 2026 to June 27, 2026. Opening Hours: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.”
The initiative underscores NRS’s push for better service post its rebranding from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
It targets support during the Rev360 rollout for Medium and Emerging taxpayers, plus the peak June Companies Income Tax filing season.
Key goals include “providing additional assistance to taxpayers requiring support with the new system, facilitating seamless compliance, and improving access to tax services outside regular weekday hours.”
NRS urged taxpayers to use the windows: “Taxpayers are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to resolve any tax-related matters, seek guidance, and ensure timely compliance with their obligations.”
The Service reaffirmed its focus, stating, “The NRS remains dedicated to delivering efficient, transparent, and taxpayer-focused services.”
This move aligns with NRS’s transformation efforts to modernise tax administration and boost compliance.
