Nigerian actress and producer, Ruth Kadiri has dismissed viral reports claiming she died, assuring fans she is alive, safe, and was not involved in any accident.
Kadiri addressed the rumour in a video posted on her Instagram page after discovering that several social media accounts had allegedly been created to circulate the false report.
“Please know that I am alive. I did not have an accident, and I’m safe,” she said in the clip.
She expressed concern about how quickly the story spread and urged followers to report pages carrying the false information instead of engaging with them.
Kadiri warned that some users were creating multiple accounts solely to push the story.
“If you see any of those pages that are carrying this terrible news, because I woke up and somebody created 7-8 accounts just to make content like this while I did not know what I’ve collected from you people’s hands,” she said.
“I please beg you to report the page if you come across it. They know that nothing happened to me, and they decided to spread this rumour,” she added.
She further cautioned fans against trying to debunk the reports publicly, saying it only amplifies the lie.
“Just one click, one report, that’s all I require from you. Don’t even try to debunk the news. Thank you, and God bless you,” she said.
