Police arrest suspected vandal on Third Mainland Bridge

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) has arrested an 18-year-old suspect, Dogara John, on April 6 while tampering with reflective road studs on the Third Mainland Bridge.
SP Abimbola Adebisi, Police Public Relations Officer for Lagos State Command, said in a statement on Wednesday, “The suspect was caught in the act of removing reflective road studs installed on the bridge to improve visibility and guide motorists, especially at night and during poor weather conditions.”
Police recovered 20 studs from him. These devices help prevent accidents on the busy bridge.
CP Tijani Fatai in the statement reiterated the command’s zero tolerance for vandalism, stating it “endangers lives and undermines ongoing efforts to maintain safety.”
