The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has dismissed rumours about threats to JAMB examination centers in a North Central State ahead of the exams starting April 16.
In a statement by DCP Anthony Okon Placid, Force Public Relations Officer, the NPF said, “The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is aware of recent unfounded rumors… these claims are without basis.”
The Force has deployed extra security both overtly and covertly nationwide, including patrols, perimeter checks, and rapid response teams.
It is also collaborating with other agencies to prevent disruptions.
“Any individual or group attempting to disrupt the examination process will be swiftly identified and brought to justice,” the statement added.
Candidates are urged to arrive early, follow rules, and report suspicions, while ignoring unverified social media info.
The NPF thanked stakeholders for their cooperation in ensuring a secure process.
