Real Madrid has confirmed that they have completed the permanent signing of Dutch right-back Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan on a contract running until June 30, 2030.
The 30-year-old full-back, who progressed from amateur football through Sparta Rotterdam and PSV before joining Inter where he won the Serie A title is expected to bolster Real Madrid’s right flank with his trademark physicality, overlapping runs, and crossing ability.
In an official statement on Sunday, the Spanish club wrote, “Real Madrid C.F. and Inter Milan have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Denzel Dumfries, who will be linked to our club for the next four seasons, until June 30, 2030.”
Dumfries arrives as head coach and the sporting directors seek more pace and width on the right side.
His experience in the Dutch national team and European leagues adds defensive strength and an attacking outlet from deep positions, attributes that Real Madrid believes will complement their current squad.
