Skales calls for unity as Davido, Victony, Ayra Starr release new music

Nigerian singer, Skales has urged music fans to stop comparing Afrobeats artistes and instead support the growing number of new projects being released across the industry.

In a post shared on Saturday, the rapper and singer called on listeners to stream albums from Davido, Victony, Ayra Starr and other artistes, arguing that music should be celebrated rather than used to fuel fan rivalry.

“Damn must yall always compare ehn… pls stream Davido album, stream Victony’s album and stream our beloved Ayra’s album and yes whoever put out an album just show support,” Skales wrote.

The “Shake Body” crooner also criticised social-media bots and trolls whom he accused of being paid to discredit artistes and undermine their work in the increasingly competitive Afrobeats landscape.

“Most of yall bots and trolls that are paid to destroy other people’s effort need to chill the fuck out.

“Just enjoy this blessings called music from this creative individuals… more love less hate,” he said.

Skales’ message comes amid continued debate among fans over chart positions, streaming figures and commercial success, with supporters of leading Nigerian artistes often engaging in heated online comparisons.
