Nigerian rapper and songwriter, Raoul Njeng-Njeng better known by his stage name Skales, has advised his colleagues to stop disrespecting each other.

The advice was indirectly given to singer Daniel Benson, also known as Buju, after he mocked rapper Aboriomoh Raymond, also known as Dremo, on X (formally Twitter) in the early hours of Thursday.

Buju responded to a user who questioned his ability to sell out a 2,500-capacity auditorium, suggesting he was only trying to trend using the 30BG fan base associated with Davido, while Dremo was signed to Davido’s record label.

Reacting to the post, Buju wrote, “No go stream dremo dem.”

In response to Buju’s post, Dremo wrote, “You see sey Ide my own before bowling pin mention my name, I no dey find wahala but it wahala come no wahala.”

Following the controversial post, Skales urged artists to stop disrespecting one another, stressing that an artist can be at the top today but easily forgotten by fans tomorrow.

He wrote, “Stop disrespecting your fellow artiste especially when you know as e Dey go.

“You fit dey on top today no mean say the same people wey dey ginger you no go forget you tomorrow.”
