Super Eagles celebrate Ademola Lookman’s CAF Best Player win with team spirit, unity

Nigeria’s Super Eagles are celebrating Ademola Lookman’s historic win as the 2024 CAF African Player of the Year.

The team marked the occasion with a special ceremony on Monday night, where Lookman cut a cake presented by his teammates.

Victor Osimhen delivered a heartfelt speech, highlighting the team’s strong bond and spirit and still prayed the award circulate within other Super Eagles players.

Lookman’s achievement follows his remarkable performances for both Atalanta and Nigeria, including a hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final.

This win marks the first time Nigeria has had back-to-back winners since 1996-1997

Dailyeconomy on December 17 reported that Lookman named the African Player of the Year at the 2024 Confederation of African Football Awards.

The announcement was made during a glittering ceremony in Marrakech, Morocco, celebrating the finest talents in African football.
