Tchouaméni denies reported punch in clash with Valverde

Real Madrid midfielder, Aurélien Tchouaméni has moved to clarify reports of a confrontation with teammate Federico Valverde.

Tchouaméni in an interview on Sunday confirmed an incident occurred but rejecting media accounts that described it as a fight or a punch.

“Fight with Fede Valverde? I want to clear up a few things,” Tchouaméni said.

“Yes, obviously something happened. But the media blew it out of proportion. I’ve read all sorts of nonsense. ‘Fight, pubch’ that’s not what happened. I won’t go into details. Me and Fede, we have a common goal, to win titles for Real Madrid. There are no problems.”

The midfielder refused to provide further detail about the incident, stressing that no lingering issues remain between the pair and emphasising both players’ shared focus on winning trophies for the club.

Club sources say the matter has been handled internally.
