Tinubu departs Abuja for three-week vacation in Europe

President Bola Tinubu is set to leave Abuja on Sunday for Europe to begin a three-week annual vacation, the Presidency has announced.
In a statement issued on August 30, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said the President’s first destination would be London, United Kingdom.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave,” the statement said.
The Presidency said Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria after the working vacation and subsequently join preparations for the January 2027 election campaign.
“President Tinubu is expected to return home after the working vacation to join the hectic campaign for the January 2027 election,” Onanuga added.
