Tinubu swears in new Housing Minister

President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Dr Muttaqha Rabe Darma from Katsina State as the new Minister of Housing and Urban Development, replacing Ahmed Musa Dangiwa who recently resigned.
The brief ceremony took place at the State House after Senate clearance.
Tinubu congratulated Darma, saying, “You have a very rich and interesting background. As a leader, we need competent hands like yours. You are a fitting peg in the right position.”
The President urged him to “be ready to serve in any capacity in which he is called upon” during this “very challenging time of national development.”
Darma, a scholar with a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Liverpool and a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Atlantic International University, USA, brings experience as former Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (2008-2012) and Katsina State commissioner roles in works, housing, transport, and rural development.
He also lectured at Bayero University, Kano, and led the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Human Development Centre.
