United States President, Donald Trump has accused Iran of deceiving the United States for decades, culminating in massive financial windfalls under the Obama administration and perceived weakness under President Biden.
This claim was made in a statement Trump shared on Truth on Sunday.
“Iran has been playing games with the United States, and the rest of the World, for 47 years (DELAY, DELAY, DELAY!), and then finally hit ‘pay dirt’ when Barack Hussein Obama became President,” Trump wrote.
He claimed Obama “was not only good to them, he was great, actually going to their side, jettisoning Israel, and all other Allies, and giving Iran a major and very powerful new lease on life.”
Trump highlighted what he described as hundreds of billions in concessions, including “$1.7 Billion Dollars in green cash, flown into Tehran,” which he said was “handed to them on a silver platter.”
He alleged that “Every Bank in D.C., Virginia, and Maryland was emptied out” to fund the payment, delivered in “suitcases and satchels,” leaving Iranian leaders stunned by their “luck” in finding “the greatest SUCKER of them all, in the form of a weak and stupid American President.”
The statement escalates criticism of Iran’s actions, accusing them of “killing our people with their roadside bombs, destroying protests, and recently wiping out 42,000 innocent, unarmed protestors.”
Trump contrasted past U.S. leadership with the present, calling Obama “a disaster as our ‘Leader,’ but not as bad as Sleepy Joe Biden!”
He asserted that after 47 years of Iran “tapping us along” and “laughing at our now GREAT AGAIN Country,” they “will be laughing no longer!”
