Video: Nollywood star, Ogogo dies after battle with stage four cancer

Veteran Yoruba Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, widely known as Ogogo, has reportedly died after battling stage four cancer.
The actor’s daughter, Kira Taiwo, announced his death in an emotional live session on Sunday evening, breaking down in tears as she repeatedly said, “My daddy is dead.”
The 66-year-old actor’s passing comes only days after his daughters, Kira and Lima Taiwo, publicly disclosed that he was receiving treatment for stage four cancer and appealed for medical support.
They said hospitals had reportedly stopped his chemotherapy as his condition worsened.
Ogogo’s family had earlier dismissed rumours of his death that circulated on social media on August 18.
However, reports on Sunday said his daughter’s tearful announcement was followed by confirmation from family-related social media posts.
Tributes have begun to pour in for the veteran actor, whose decades-long career made him one of the most recognisable figures in Yoruba Nollywood.
