Self-acclaimed financial coach and content creator Gegeh has sparked a fresh online conversation about authenticity after viral clips showed him in wedding attire alongside a woman labelled as a “bride.”
The footage later suspected by Gegeh to be scenes from his upcoming YouTube film ‘Billionaire Prosper’, prompted rumours that he had secretly married, generating a mix of amusement, concern and criticism across social platforms.
Reacting, Gegeh used Pidgin English to tell followers bluntly that “reality no be social media life style,” a reminder that curated online portrayals often diverge from everyday life.
Reactions ranged from laughing memes and dramatic chat screenshots to more serious student-led discussions about relationship expectations shaped by social media.
Many replies joked about breakup regrets and the pressure to mirror polished online standards, while others criticised those who jump to conclusions without checking context.
In another clip, he wrote, “I never for once told y’all not to get married. Did I ? If yes show me a video of me telling you not to marry.”
