President Trump has said Iran has lost its navy, air force and multiple levels of leadership after recent strikes.

“You know, their navy is gone. Their air force is gone. Their leaders are all dead. Their whole country is a mess,” Trump said, arguing coverage that Iran is “about the same as it was four months ago” is false.

He repeated specific figures, saying Iran’s navy once numbered “159 ships” and asserting its air fleet and air-defence systems had been largely destroyed.

“The reason the news is doing so badly or let’s put it another way. The reason that I won in a landslide, even though I got 92 percent negative press, all fake press, is because nobody believes the press anymore,” he said, blaming negative coverage for public distrust and claiming his election victory was unaffected by media hostility.

Trump further asserted that Iran’s missile and drone production capacity and launch infrastructure had been significantly degraded “about 87 percent gone” and described a leadership vacuum in Tehran, saying even lower-tier figures were reluctant to take power.

“It’s gone. The navy’s gone, their radar is gone. Everything’s gone,” he added, before shifting to domestic bragging about the U.S. economy: record employment, rising wages and “$18 to $19 trillion being poured into our country.”
