Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said it is time to end the war while accusing Russia’s leadership of seeking to prolong the conflict.

Zelenskyy in a post shared on X credited recent Ukrainian long-range drone strikes on Russian military and energy targets as part of Kyiv’s response.

“It is time to end this war. But Russia’s ruler wants to keep fighting,” Zelenskyy wrote on Saturday, framing Kyiv’s strikes as effective pressure on Moscow.

He reported that Ukrainian drones “covered a distance of about 1,000 kilometers to the St. Petersburg region – to the enemy navy’s arsenals and a base in Kronstadt,” and that “our long-range sanctions also reached about 500 kilometers into the Krasnodar region and hit an oil depot.”

Zelenskyy credited the operations to coordinated work by Ukraine’s security services, saying the strikes were “important results of the joint efforts by warriors from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.”

He added, “Any manifestation of injustice against Ukraine will receive a just response. I thank our warriors for their precision.”

The president posted footage accompanying his statement showing large fires and plumes of smoke at the impacted sites, which Kyiv described as evidence of successful strikes on naval arsenals and an energy facility.
