Arsenal defender William Saliba has expressed mounting frustration over the club’s four consecutive second-place finishes in the Premier League, proclaiming that ending the streak this season would mark a “massive success” for both the team and himself.

“I’ve been here for four years and I’ve always finished second,” Saliba said.

“If we change that this season, it will be a massive success for us and for me. I’m sure we will do that.”

This came as Arsenal chase their first league title since 2004.

Rival fans quickly flooded social media replies with banter, predicting yet another runner-up finish and reinforcing the long-standing narrative of Arsenal’s trophy drought despite consistent top-two contention.
