12 nabbed over illegal waste dumping in Lagos

The Lagos Waste Management Authority, Waste Infractions Surveillance and Investigation Team have apprehended 12 individuals caught engaging in illegal waste dumping in the Alimosho area of Lagos State.
Some of the offenders who were caught red-handed, opted for community service as a form of punishment.
While others were however tracked to their homes for documentation and further legal action.
This was disclosed in a post on Friday, via the X (formally Twitter) handle of the Lagos Commissioner, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab.
It reads, “LAWMA Waste Infractions Surveillance and Investigation Team recently apprehended 12 individuals engaging in illegal waste dumping in the Alimosho area of Lagos.
“Some opted for community service, while others were tracked to their homes for documentation and legal action.”
