Chelsea have excluded Alejandro Garnacho from first-team training while the club negotiates a potential transfer with the player’s representatives, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports.

According to Romano, Garnacho is not training under head coach Xabi Alonso as Chelsea work “very closely” with the winger’s camp to arrange a move.

The 20‑year‑old reportedly faces internal repercussions after allegedly issuing Manchester United an ultimatum demanding a transfer to Chelsea or refusing to play for six months — a stance that led to his isolation from United’s squad during the last window.

Chelsea are understood to be open to selling Garnacho if they receive a permanent offer that meets their valuation.

AS Roma have shown strong interest in the Argentine wide forward and are viewed as keen to bring him to the Stadio Olimpico.

However, Roma prefer an initial loan with an option to buy, while Chelsea want a permanent transfer up front before they will consider further negotiations.

Romano adds that Garnacho would be receptive to a switch to Roma, a factor that could accelerate talks if the two clubs can bridge their structural differences on the deal.

For now, the situation remains fluid: Chelsea have signalled willingness to move the player permanently, Roma remain interested but favour loan terms, and Garnacho looks likely to press for a move away from Chelsea if a suitable bid arrives.
