Diomande takes no. 25 as Real Madrid unveil 2026/27 squad numbers

Real Madrid has confirmed their 2026/27 shirt numbers, with club-record forward Yan Diomande the headline name after arriving this summer and taking No. 25 in a reshaped squad under José Mourinho.

The Spanish giants published the full list on their official website on Monday, assigning numbers to six new signings as preseason preparations continue.

Alongside Diomande, the intake includes Bernardo Silva (No. 20), Marc Cucurella (No. 17), Ibrahima Konaté (No. 16), Denzel Dumfries (No. 24) and Spanish prospect Carlos Espí (No. 19).

Established stars keep their familiar digits: Thibaut Courtois (1), Vinícius Júnior (7), Kylian Mbappé (10), Jude Bellingham (5), Endrick (9) and Federico Valverde (8).

Trent Alexander-Arnold, who joined from Liverpool in 2025 and has been at the Bernabéu for a year, remains at No. 12 as he enters his second season with Los Blancos.

The England international adopted No. 12 on arrival after La Liga’s 1–25 squad-number rules prevented him from keeping his iconic Liverpool No. 66, and he has “Trent” printed on the back of his shirt.
