EFCC secures conviction of two men for Internet fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the conviction of two individuals for internet fraud and related offences in Kaduna State.

In a statement posted on its official X account on Friday, the agency revealed, “The Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the EFCC on Thursday, October 8, 2026, secured the conviction of Paul Chinedu Ugwu and Shunanum Hassan.

“The two were prosecuted before Justice A. Bello of the Kaduna State High Court on offences relating to Internet Fraud and cheating by impersonation.”

The post included mugshot photographs of the convicts holding EFCC identification boards that listed “INTERNET FRAUD” as the alleged offence, along with their case reference numbers.
