Nollywood powerhouse, Funke Akindele has fired back at accusations of snubbing Fuji musician Wasiu Alabi well known as Pasuma during a lively event, insisting she greeted and danced with her “Egbon” (respected elder brother).

In a direct social media response to the claims, Akindele wrote, “Snub? Hell no. Stop the negativity pls. I saw him, greeted him, danced with him. Pasuma is my Egbon. Pls you all should stop this evil.”

The controversy erupted from a short viral video clip that captured a fleeting interaction, which detractors spun into a narrative of deliberate disrespect.

This mirrors earlier online drama involving Akindele and actress Toyin Abraham, where brief moments were amplified into feuds, Dailyeconomy reports.

Akindele urged her fans to push back against such toxicity, highlighting how social media often fuels divisive stories about Nigerian celebrities purely for clicks and engagement.

The actress, known for blockbusters like A Tribe Called Judah, continues to dominate headlines amid her rising influence in Nollywood.
