The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has suspended the services of Online Integrated Solution (OIS SERVICES), the operator of its Visa Application Centres in the United States, effective July 1, 2026, until further notice.
A statement signed on Thursday by DCI Akinsola Akinlabi, Service Public Relations Officer, said, “The Nigeria Immigration Service hereby informs the general public, particularly prospective travelers and Nigerians residing in the United States of America who may require a visa to enter Nigeria, that effective from 1st July, 2026, the service of Online Integrated Solution (OIS SERVICES), the operator of Nigeria’s Visa Application Centers in the United States of America has been suspended until further notice.”
The statement directs that “all applicants seeking Nigerian visa are required to submit their applications directly at the Embassy of Nigeria in Washington, D.C., or at the Consulates General of Nigeria in New York and Atlanta.”
NIS clarified that the suspension applies only to the outsourced Visa Application Centre service and does not affect the e‑Visa platform.
“The Service further clarifies that this notice applies only to Visa application submissions at the Embassy and does not affect the e‑Visa System. Applicants can continue to apply via https://www.evisa.immigration.gov.ng,” the release said.
The agency added that “adequate measures have been put in place to ensure seamless submission, processing, and issuance of visas,” and urged applicants to monitor NIS and Nigerian mission channels in the U.S. for further updates.
The Service thanked the public for their understanding and cooperation and reiterated its commitment to efficient service delivery.
