Manchester United has completed a successful medical with Brazilian midfielder Andrey Santos and will finalise his signing on Friday, sources confirmed.
The 20‑year‑old has agreed personal terms and is expected to sign a contract running until June 2031, with an option to extend.
United reached a full agreement with Chelsea on a package worth around £50 million, covering transfer fees and add‑ons.
Club officials signed the necessary paperwork after negotiations, paving the way for the Brazil youth international to join Carrick’s squad ahead of the new season.
Santos, who has been linked with several top European clubs in recent windows, represents a significant midfield investment for United as they look to bolster creativity and dynamism in the centre of the park.
The youngster arrives with a reputation for composure on the ball, quick passing and an eye for late forward runs—attributes that fit the tactical profile United hope to add to their midfield mix.
