Oliver Glasner has agreed to become Nottingham Forest’s new head coach, the club announced today, replacing Santo Pereira after a summer managerial change.
Glasner, who leaves Crystal Palace following their recent qualification for European competition via the Conference League, is understood to be taking a hands-on role at Forest, bringing several key members of his backroom staff and playing a central part in upcoming transfer decisions.
Club sources said Glasner’s arrival is aimed at stabilising a side that has frequently been embroiled in relegation battles in recent Premier League seasons.
The Austrian coach, noted for organised defensive structures and attention to squad cohesion, will work with Forest’s sporting directors to identify reinforcements tailored to his tactical approach.
Glasner’s move from Palace follows a season in which the south London club secured continental football, a testament to progress under his tenure.
Despite that success, Glasner opted to join Forest, where the board have reportedly offered him increased control over recruitment and staff appointments.
