Chelsea star, Cole Palmer has signed a new long-term contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until June 2034, the club announced on Saturday.
The England international, 24, has agreed improved salary terms and a one-year extension on his previous deal, which ran until 2033.
The move rewards Palmer’s emergence as one of Chelsea’s key attacking players since his arrival from Manchester City.
“Chelsea means a lot to me and I think the club is going in the right direction, so I’m delighted to sign and I’m obviously very happy,” Palmer said.
“Speaking to the owners, to the sporting directors and obviously the manager, they gave me a lot of confidence so it was only right to sign.
“Speaking to players as well, everyone has the same ambitions. I feel like we win major trophies here consistently and I want to be a part of that and play a big role in it too.”
He also expressed enthusiasm for new manager Xabi Alonso, saying, “I am also so happy to have Xabi Alonso as manager. I am very confident.”
Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in August 2023 in a £42.5 million transfer. He has since delivered 91 goal contributions in 138 appearances across all competitions and helped the Blues win the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Conference League.
On the international stage, he became only the second England player to score in a European Championship final when he netted against Spain at Euro 2024.
